An Update on Shipping Rates

To our community:

We wanted to take a moment to share a change we’ve recently had to make to our shipping rates.

Over the years, we’ve done our best to keep shipping costs steady—even through the unpredictable shipping landscape of 2020 and beyond. We’ve absorbed many of the rising costs that come with shipping perishable, high-quality meat. But like so many small businesses, we’re facing continued increases in several areas:

  • Carrier shipping rates

  • Perishable shipping boxes and insulated liners

  • Dry ice and other cold packing supplies

While raising our rates is not something we take lightly, we’ve had to make some adjustments so our shipping fees better reflect the true costs involved today.

Behind the scenes, we’re doing everything we can to keep costs manageable: buying packaging in bulk, working directly with carriers to secure better rates, and constantly reviewing our logistics. But as a small family farm, there’s only so much scale we can achieve. We’re not Walmart, Costco, or even Butcher Box. We’re a small business doing our best to raise good food and get it to your door safely.

You’re supporting pasture-raised goat meat raised here in the U.S., a protein we know isn’t easy to source. We also understand you’re navigating your own rising costs at home, and we want to be transparent about how this change fits into the bigger picture. We’re incredibly grateful that you continue to choose our farm to feed your family.

New shipping rates are now in effect. You can find them here.

Thank you,

Leslie
