Information about purchasing goat meat ( chevon / cabritio) for restaurants, wholesalers and retailers in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin.
Hello area restaurant and retailer buyers,
As you might now know goat meat, or also known as chevon, is increasing in popularity with metro restaurants and customers alike, just a take a look at this Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel article, Goat Meat Wins Fans. I am a local source for goat meat in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and Western Wisconsin.
I farm in western Wisconsin, just outside of Deer Park, which is about 45 minutes from the Twin Cities. Cylon Rolling Acres is a grass-based farm, which means our goat herd is raised on pasture during spring, summer and fall seasons. Since we practice rotational grazing, typically goat meat is available August through December, with some limited availability, January to April.
We work with a local USDA inspected facility for processing, but also are flexible to your needs and can work with your own meat processor. We also are currently selling our meat for wholesale customers through the Hungry Turtle Cooperative. Go to https://goo.gl/7wojLh for more info and product availability.
